To celebrate 20 years of Google News, we’re creating a 90-second video that shows how Google News helps people find the news they need to become better informed on interests and issues that matter most to them.

Our video will weave together the stories of (3) individuals who regularly use Google News (note, not Google search bar) to grow and shape their understanding of the world.

We’re looking for real people who are motivated to stay up-to-date on what matters most to them. Our ideal candidates have a specific need in their life that drives them to better understand topics and issues that are relevant to their lives. Google News helps them access reliable sources of news in a way that’s comprehensive and personalized to their needs. Ideally, they consider themselves better at what they do because they’re better informed. We are open to casting frequent Google News users and those who occasionally or have in the past used Google News to stay informed or updated.

Our Ideal Candidates fit the below Casting Parameters:
– Individuals must be located in the Tristate area only (3 hour drive from NY metro)
– Open to being pre-interview
– Comfortable with sharing their story and speaking on camera
– Open to allowing production to scout the filming locations in their home, workspace, and/or neighborhood if Candidate is selected. This will be a docu-style production – we’ll interview each person and possibly film them in their own home and around their hometown throughout the shoot day.
