PREMISE:
Determined to see the northern lights, a Korean couple from Seoul goes on vacation in northern Minnesota. MINJI disappears deep in the woods, and her boyfriend TAEMIN is arrested because he is unable to explain his innocence due to a lack of English skills. Eventually with some luck, TAEMIN escapes jail and finds MINJI, but she is married to a local, speaks perfect English and claims to have never seen him in her life. Has MINJI been brain-washed? Is the whole town against TAEMIN? Are there supernatural forces at play? Or is TAEMIN really crazy and dangerous? Angry and frustrated, TAEMIN kidnaps MINJI in an attempt to return to their reality…
ROLES:
LEAD / Minji (20-35) Korean female in mid 20s. After arriving in Minnesota from Seoul for a vacation with her boyfriend Taemin, she disappears and is last seen in a cabin deep in the woods. When she is found by Taemin after he is arrested for her disappearance, she is living another life married to a local Minnesota man, speaks perfect English and claims to have never seen Taemin in her life. Has MINJI been brain-washed? (MUST BE ABLE TO SPEAK KOREAN FLUENTLY AS WELL AS BE AN ENGLISH SPEAKER.) – The role of MINJI will shoot around 10-12 days, most likely non-consecutive.
LEAD / Taemin (20-35) Korean male in mid 20s. While vacationing in Minnesota, Taemin’s lack of English skills gets him locked up because he is not able to claim his innocence when his girlfriend disappears. With a little bit of luck, Taemin is able to escape jail. He’s determined to find Minji, to reunite with his girlfriend and prove his innocence, but his path is full of obstacles with hostile locals and a town sheriff who believes he is guilty. Eventually, he finds Minji. But she’s married to a local, speaks perfect English and claims to have never seen Taemin in her life. Regardless, there is only one way out of this place. And that is with Minji. Angry and frustrated, he kidnaps Minji but now that they’re reunited, they have to fight for their lives to return to their reality. (MUST BE ABLE TO SPEAK KOREAN FLUENTLY AND NATIVELY AS WELL AS SPEAK ENGLISH WITH A HEAVY KOREAN ACCENT.] – The role of TAEMIN will shoot around 21 days.

Casting is open to talent based in the USA and Canada. All lodging and travel expenses will be covered.
All levels of acting experience are welcome to apply. Open to SAG-AFTRA actors and non union talent as well as anyone interested in auditioning for their first film opportunity.
